Just a quick update before I dash into the shower and out the door for my Sunday afternoon gig! I started sewing the dress together today and here’s the progress:
Darts on bodice complete, bodice front and back assembled. Collar constructed - a little too much in fact. I didn’t realize I was supposed to the leave the *entire* notched edge (where it attaches to the bodice) open - I rather zealously stitched part of it closed before realizing Wait - I’m gonna havta stitch this to the bodice. I’m not supposed to be sewing this together! So when I next have time to work on this I’ll have to start with removing a few stitches and then pressing all the assembled pieces. Stay tuned! Although I’m not sure when I’ll have the chance to work on it next. :-/ Maybe Thursday night…
